Galushki with pot cheese and wheat flour.
Galushki with pot cheese is a wonderful dish for any occasion. Galushki are very easy to make and it will take at least a half an hour to cook them. Galushki can be boiled or baked in the oven. Serve galushki with melted butter or sour cream.
500 g (1 lb) pot cheese (cottage cheese).
2 eggs, beaten.
2 tbsp sugar.
1 cup flour.
2 tbsp breadcrumbs.
3 tbsp butter.
1/2 cup sour cream to garnish.
1. Using the fine metal knife in the food processor mix all
ingredients in mixing bowl.
Use the high speed setting for a very fine consistency. Mix until the mixture forms a ball, cover the mixture with moisten kitchen towel and set aside for 10 - 15 minutes.
2. With dampened hands divide the mixture in several equal parts and roll out every of them in a fine sausage. Slice small rhombuses and put them in lightly salted boiling water and cook until they are on the surface.
3. Take out galushki with a skimmer and pour over them melted butter. Serve sprinkled with fried breadcrumbs, sour cream.
